Building Bridges Between Markets, Cultures, and Growth

 

I grew up obsessed with how things worked, not just machines or code, but people, systems, power, and decisions. That curiosity led me down two paths simultaneously: technology and international relations.

While studying computer science, I pursued a master’s in political science and international relations. To most people, it seemed like an odd combination. To me, it made perfect sense. One discipline taught me how to build. The other taught me how to understand the complex world I was building for.

 

Over the past 17 years, I’ve led business development initiatives across Europe, the MENA region, and Asia-Pacific – driving market expansion, building strategic partnerships, and managing P&L across multiple jurisdictions. I’ve lived in Algiers, Madrid, and Kuala Lumpur, and speak five languages fluently: Arabic, French, Spanish, English, and Tamazight.

Every market, every negotiation, every challenge has reinforced my core belief: business isn’t just numbers on a spreadsheet – it’s about understanding people, cultures, and the unique dynamics of each market.

 

My approach is shaped by real-world experience:

I’ve navigated eight different regulatory environments simultaneously. I’ve negotiated with Tier-1 telecommunications operators across three continents. I’ve relocated corporate headquarters internationally while maintaining zero client attrition. I’ve built and led multicultural teams spanning sales, operations, and technical support across time zones.

But none of this was a straight line. I’ve made difficult decisions, learned from setbacks, and consistently rebuilt stronger. Those experiences – both successes and challenges – have made me a more effective leader and strategic thinker.

 

What drives me:

I’m most energized when solving complex international business challenges – the kind that require both analytical rigor and cultural intelligence. Whether it’s identifying untapped market segments, structuring strategic partnerships, or navigating multi-jurisdictional compliance, I thrive in situations where conventional approaches don’t work.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about judo (where strategy and timing matter as much as strength), minimalist travel, and conversations about ideas that matter. I care deeply about building systems that work across cultures and creating sustainable growth in emerging markets.

 

My philosophy:

Clarity beats complexity. Execution beats theory. And sustainable partnerships beat short-term wins every time.

Senior leadership roles within multinational corporations focused on international market expansion, particularly in telecommunications, aviation, logistics, or digital infrastructure sectors. I’m especially interested in opportunities that leverage my cross-cultural expertise and track record in MENA, European, and Asia-Pacific markets.
